Spring Ahead for Daylight Saving Time on Sunday
We can look forward to an extra hour of sunlight soon, even though it might feel as if we’re losing a bit of sleep. Daylight Saving Time (DST) starts Sunday morning, March 14, at 2 a.m. Don’t forget to set your clocks an hour ahead before going to sleep Saturday night.
The changeover back to Eastern Standard Time (EST) occurs in about eight months on Sunday, November 7 at 2 a.m. Some people remember which way to move their clocks using the phrase, “spring forward, fall back.”
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue (MCFRS) encouraged residents to check smoke and carbon monoxide alarms this weekend. MCFRS has a checklist of eight tips to remember when it comes to smoke alarms and fire safety.
