Spirit Back to the Plex Saturday
The Washington Spirit are back at Maureen Hendricks Field in Boyds Saturday, for their second game this season against Sky Blue FC .
The game starts at 7 p.m.
“We are so excited to be back at home this weekend,” said midfielder Tori Huster. “There’s nothing like playing on your home turf in front of your own fans. We are hungry to get three points and look forward to piecing some things together this week in order to be successful on Saturday.”
Sky Blue FC, currently sit right below Washington Spirit in the standings and will arrive at Maureen Hendricks Field with the hope of redemption from their first game played against the Spirit, according to a release from the Spirit.
“This is a big game for us; it is important to put in a strong performance and continue to show improvement,” said head coach Mark Parsons. “Coming home to play our second game in front of our fans means a lot and the team are pumped.”
