SNAP Challenge: Shopping List & A Simple Recipe
Manna’s dietitian Jenna Umbriac has been all over the news today, from her part in the SNAP the Silence press conference to an interview with WTOP news. This afternoon, Jenna shared her shopping list for the challenge with me. The list is set for 2 people ($50 a week in SNAP benefits), so you can tailor it to fit your household.
Jenna also created a simple, filling, and nutritious recipe for some of these ingredients. It’s easy to follow, and can help keep hungry bellies full all week!

As the designated food bank for Montgomery County we are the main resource people turn to when they find themselves in need of food assistance. Manna delivers emergency food assistance through its three main programs: Food for Families, Smart Sacks, and Agency Food Distribution.
