Silver Spring’s Dave Chappelle Wins Grammy For Best Comedy Album
Comedian Dave Chappelle won the Grammy Award last night for best comedy album for the second straight year. Many know that Chappelle was born in DC, but he’s also no stranger to Montgomery County.
Chappelle attended Woodlin Elementary School in Silver Spring. Last year, Chappelle campaigned for Maryland gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous in Montgomery County.
Chappelle’s acceptance for the award was announced before the Grammys was broadcast on CBS. However, last year Chappelle accepted the award during the ceremony.
