Montgomery County Police arrested Calvin Coolidge Cannon III, 22, of the 14100 block of Castle Boulevard for the May 29 armed robbery of the Papa John’s restaurant at 1133 East West Highway in Silver Spring.

Police said Cannon displayed a taser to obtain an undisclosed amount of money from the restaurant. Cannon was later identified and detectives obtained an arrest warrant for him. Cannon was arrested on June 26. Police said they found the taser they said was used in the robbery during a search of Cannon’s home.

Cannon is charged with theft under $1,000 and armed robbery, according to an online Montgomery County Circuit Court case search. Cannon’s attorney information was not yet listed in his case.
