Silver Spring Bank Robbery Suspect (Photos)

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department, Major Crimes Division, continue to investigate two bank robberies that police believe were committed by the same suspect. Both robberies took place at the same Wells Fargo bank, at 8701 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring.

On Feb. 21, police responded to the Wells Fargo bank for the report of a bank robbery. Police report their preliminary investigation indicates the suspect approached the teller, produced what is described as a large kitchen knife, and demanded cash. Police say he left the bank after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators believe that the robberies were committed by the same suspect based on surveillance photographs and the similar actions of the suspect.
