Sherwood High School Advances in State Volleyball Playoffs With Win Over Blair (PHOTOS)
Sherwood v Blair MD Volleyball Playoffs 11-6-17 Olney, Maryland
The night began with Blair High School scoring six unanswered points on their way to taking the first game of the best three out of five Maryland State volleyball playoff match. As the match progressed Sherwood gained the upper hand in a seesaw struggle to even the games at one a piece. The Warriors winning momentum continued in a game three in yet another closely contested seesaw contest putting Sherwood up two games to one over the Blazers. The night’s playoff match ended with a more dominant Sherwood win against a very capable Blair squad. The Warriors now move on in their quest for another volleyball state championship.
Sherwood Coach Jacob Achten said, “when facing a very good Blair team you have to believe in yourself and what we are trying to do, once they started to do that they took charge.
Sherwood next travels to Urbana High School in Frederick County Wednesday night, game time TBD.
Good luck Warriors!!!
