Serious Pedestrian Collision on Germantown Road
Montgomery County police officers are investigating a serious pedestrian collision that occurred today in Germantown.
It happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Germantown Road near Wisteria Drive.
According to police, the pedestrian is hospitalized with life threatening injuries.
Police said the preliminary investigation indicates that a 2001 Chrysler Sebring was traveling northbound on Germantown Road. At the same time, police said the pedestrian was attempting to cross the street although there was no marked crosswalk in the area. For reasons still under investigation, police said the vehicle struck the pedestrian.
