U.S. Senator Ben Cardin, right, visited the Montgomery County Council on Sept. 23 for an informal meeting that covered a wide variety of topics including the impact on Montgomery County if Congress does not reach a budget agreement this fall.

Among those attending the meeting in Rockville were, left to right, Councilmembers George Leventhal and Phil Andrews; Council President Nancy Navarro; Council Vice President Craig Rice; and Councilmembers Nancy Floreen and Marc Elrich.
