Select Farmers Markets in County to Reopen
Although many of the county’s farmers markets remain closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, a few will be opening within the next few weeks.
One of the markets reopening is the Takoma Park Farmers Market, located on Laurel Avenue. The market will be operating on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting April 18. A list of available vendors can be found online.
Other markets opening at this time include:
- Bethesda Central Farm Market — Open year round, Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Crossroads Farmers Market – Opened April 14
- Pike Central Farm Market — Opening April 24
- Rockville Farmers Market — Open starting May 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The following markets will remain closed until further notice:
- Clarksburg Farmers Market
- Common Ground Market
- Poolesville’s Friday on the Commons
Information on the state’s farmers market operations guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic can be found here. Customers will be required to wear masks and maintain six feet of distance. Vendors will also be following guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
