Second Rockville Election Debate Set for Oct. 10

The second Rockville election debate is scheduled for Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Twinbrook Community Recreation Center, 12920 Twinbrook Pkwy. The Twinbrook Citizens Association hosts the debate; in this capacity the association is responsible for inviting candidates, choosing a moderator and format and determining the questions.

The debate is open to the public. There will be a “meet and greet” with the candidates from 7 to 7:30 p.m., followed by the debate at 7:30 p.m. Rockville Channel 11, the city’s cable television station, will air the debates live and will make them available on the city’s YouTube channel.

Twinbrook Citizens Association invites residents to submit debate questions via email to twinbrookpres@yahoo.com.

Mayoral candidates include Bridget Newton and Mark Pierzchala. Council candidates include Beryl L. Feinberg, Donald H. (Don) Hadley, Tom Moore, Virginia Onley, Julie Palakovich Carr, and Claire Marcuccio Whitaker.
