Steve Friedman returns with The Golden Age of the Broadway Musical Pt. 1, 1950-1960 on Monday, March 24 at 1 p.m. By the 1950’s, no story was unable to be told through music, and with the evolution of broadcasted television, Broadway entered its Golden Age. Live song is included in the discussion.

Señorita Sunshine will be coming in to entertain us on Monday, March 31 at 1 p.m. She will entertain with song, dance, and laughter as she performs her original comic songs and her unique brand of stand-up comedy!

This month’s discussion will focus on The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. In January 1946, writer Juliet Ashton receives a letter from a stranger, a founding member of the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, and so begins a remarkable tale of the Island of Guernsey during the German Occupation, and of a society as extraordinary as its name.
