Montgomery County officials lifted the state of emergency at 5 p.m. on Oct. 30. Here are some other updates about the status of operations in the county.

Ride On started restoring Sunday level service at 4 p.m. today, Oct. 30. View Sunday service schedule. Check Ride On’s website for detours and delays http://www6.montgomerycountymd.gov/content/DOT/transit/rideondelays.asp. Ride On will resume normal weekday service tomorrow, Oct. 31.

Montgomery County Government will be open Wednesday.

MC311 Call Center will remain open until 8 p.m. tonight. Call 311 (240-777-0311 from a cell phone) for questions regarding County Government services, programs and/or issues, or go to www.MC311.com for online help. MC311.com is available on smart phones.

Reporting Power Outages: Residents should report any power outages directly to their local power company:

* PEPCO, call 1-877-737-2662 or go to the PEPCO website http://www.pepco.com/home
* Baltimore Gas and Electric, call 1-877-778-2222 or go to the BG&E website http://www.bge.com/portal/site/bge
* Allegheny Power, call 1-800-255-3443 or go to the Allegheny Power website http://www.alleghenypower.com

To Report Downed Trees on public property, Montgomery County residents should call 311 (or 240-777-0311 from outside the county or from a cell phone), or file a report at www.MC311.com. If live wires are involved, the tree is blocking a roadway, the tree is on a structure or if anyone is trapped under a fallen tree, call 911.

For downed trees in Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning parks call 301-670-8080 or submit an online form through the Online Service Center http://www.montgomeryparks.org/parks_facilities_directory/information_form.shtm. Crews will address the most hazardous work requests first. Residents can check on the status of their work request by emailing Service.Center@MontgomeryParks.org. To report emergencies in parks, call the Maryland-National Capital Park Police at 301-949-3010.

Road Closures: There were 62 roads http://www6.montgomerycountymd.gov/apps/News/press/PR_details.asp?PrID=8935 closed due to flooding, fallen trees and downed wires.

Traffic Signal Power Outages: Thirty five traffic signals have no power. Police are directing traffic at 20 of those signals. Fifteen additional signals are flashing. Motorists are reminded that Maryland State law requires drivers to treat intersections where signals have no power as a four-way stop.

Maryland Interstates and U.S. Routes speed limit restrictions still in effect: Motorists should not exceed 45 mph.

Montgomery County Transfer Station will operate today (Oct. 30) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dams: All dams in Montgomery County are currently stable.

Montgomery County Parking Garages and Lots remain open today at no charge. Normal operations with fees will resume Wednesday. The commuter lot at Route 355 and Montrose Road in North Bethesda has no power. Not all levels in the Bethesda-Elm Parking Garage in Bethesda have power.

Early Voting: Early voting http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/elections/index2.html is expected to resume on Wednesday and continue through Thursday, and has been extended to include Friday. The hours are 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Trash and Recycling: Montgomery County trash and recycling collections to resume on Wednesday with a “slide” schedule. Monday customers will be picked up on Wednesday, Tuesday customers, on Thursday, Wednesday customers, on Friday; Thursday customers, on Saturday; and Friday customers on Sunday, with normal service expected to resume on Monday, November 5. If you (or your community) have a private contract for your trash collection, or if you live in a municipality, this schedule announcement may not apply to your service — check with your hauler or community manager.

M-NCPPC Montgomery County Parks Remain Closed Today: Residents are urged to avoid parks and trails throughout Montgomery County until further notice. Heavy rain and winds have caused fallen trees and other damage throughout parks, and the heavily saturated ground may lead to unsafe conditions for trees that are still standing. Parks staff are conducting inspections of parks and facilities to identify and prioritize hazards and ensure the safety of park neighbors and patrons. Call the General Information Line at 301-495-2595 for updates on park and facility openings and closures.

County Shelters:
County officials announced that the overnight shelter at the White Oak Community Recreation Center will close at 2 p.m. today and the shelter at the Mid-County Community Recreation Center will close at 5 p.m.

County officials announced that the overnight shelter at Activity Center at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg is closed as of 11 a.m.
