School Bus Fire on Georgia Avenue Slows Morning Commute (PHOTO)

A school bus fire closed southbound lanes of Georgia Avenue at Shorefield Road on Friday morning.

Montgomery County fire and rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said there were no injuries in the bus blaze that was heavily involved when firefighters reached the scene.

Motorists were advised to seek another route while the fire department responded.
