Scheduled Public Hearings on Expedited Bills

The Montgomery County Council will hold a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. on July 23, on Expedited Bill 21-13 that would clarify the enforcement authority of the Planning Board in the forest conservation law and generally amend the laws governing the enforcement of forest conservation requirements.

The Council will hold a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. on July 30, on Expedited Bill, 22-13 that would create an exemption from the fuel energy tax for energy that is generated from a renewable energy source. The bill generally would amend County law regarding the fuel energy tax.

The public hearings will be held in the Third Floor Hearing Room of the Council Office Building, which is located at 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville. The hearings will be televised live by County Cable Montgomery (CCM—Cable Channel 6 on Comcast and RCN, Channel 30 on Verizon) and can be viewed via streaming through the County website at www.montgomerycountymd.gov.
