Salvadoran Consulate Building Relocates to Silver Spring
Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett joined the Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador H.E. Hugo Martínez, Ambassador Claudia Canjura and General Consul Ena Peña for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Salvadoran Consulate building in Silver Spring.
The new building, located at 926 Philadelphia Avenue, relocated from the District of Columbia, according to a news release.
On average, the Consulate serves 200 people and county leaders are hoping the new location in Silver Spring will attract more business to the area.
