Safe Silver Spring Forum on Gang Violence Planned for Thursday

Safe Silver Spring will host a forum on Thursday, April 14 in downtown Silver Spring aimed at educating residents about gang violence.

County leaders and community organizations will present information on plans to deal with gangs in Montgomery County. Safe Silver Spring is inviting members of the community to take part in the conversation. Montgomery Silver Spring Civic Center

Speakers include Captain Paul Liquorie, director of the Montgomery County Police Department Special Investigations Division, Marcus Jones, 3rd district commander, Luis Cardona, director of the Health and Human Services Street Outreach Network and more.

The event is free and open to the public. The forum will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building which is located at One Veterans Plaza. For more information visit the Safe Silver Spring Facebook page.
