Rockville’s Uncorked Wine Festival Set for August 23 (Video)
Rockville’s Uncorked Wine and Music Festival returns on August 23 from noon to 6 p.m. in Rockville’s town center. The festival will feature wine tastings from fifteen local wineries and vineyards, live musical entertainment on two stages and cooking demonstrations. The cost to participate in the wine tasting is $15. Admission is free for the concerts and cooking demonstrations.The rain date for the event is Sunday, Aug. 24. Wine tasting is $15 and includes a commemorative wine glass for the first 3,000 paid attendees (must be 21 or older to consume alcohol). Tickets can be purchased online using a credit card. At the event, ticket booths will only accept cash. The wine tasting sales booth opens at noon on Maryland Avenue near Gold’s Gym and the American Tap Room.
Fifteen Maryland wineries and vineyards will participate at this year’s festival. The full list is available on the city’s website, and includes:
• Linganore Winecellars, from Mt. Airy
• Far Eastern Shore Winery, from Easton
• Woodhall Wine Cellars, from Parkton
Uncorked will also feature live music from six talented bands on two stages throughout the day. Performers include The Digits, Mary Ann Redmond and Chopteeth Afro Funk Band. Stages will be located at in the town square plaza (near the library) and at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Middle Lane.

Paid parking is available in any of the Rockville Town Square parking garages or free parking is available at Rockville City Hall, County Government garages and the parking lot north of Beall Ave. The Rockville Town Square is a short walk from the Rockville Metro Station on the Red Line.
