Rockville’s annual Doggie Dip Day is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center, located at 355 Martins Lane.

Dogs must have a current rabies certificate or a letter from their veterinarian stating that they have received their rabies vaccination in order to participate. Tags are not accepted as proof of vaccination. Cost of the event is $5 per dog.

Dogs must be kept under the control of their owners at all times. Due to health and safety reasons, people will not be allowed to join the dogs in the water.

The event will include a canned food collection for Manna Food Center, and any pet food donations will be donated to the Montgomery County Humane Society. Vendors of dog-related products will be on hand with information and items for sale. They include:

Raffle tickets will be available, with proceeds to be donated to the Montgomery County Humane Society and the Rockville Youth Recreation Fund.

Staff will be available to register City residents’ dogs at the event if they are not currently registered with the City.
