Rockville to Host Free Movies in Neighborhood Parks

Rockville’s free outdoor Movies in the Parks series return to neighborhood parks throughout the city on Wednesdays in August.

Residents are invited to bring chairs, blankets, food and beverages for an evening watching a family-friendly movie. More than 300 people attended each week last year.

Movies are free of charge and begin at dusk; approximately 8 p.m.

The schedule is below:

• Aug. 7 – “Smallfoot” (Rated PG) at Calvin Park, 1248 Gladstone Drive.
• Aug. 14 – “The Mighty Ducks” (PG) at Woodley Gardens Park, 900 Nelson Street.
• Aug. 21 – “The Little Mermaid” (G) at Maryvale Park, 812 First Street.
• Aug. 28 – “Sherlock Gnomes” (PG) at Potomac Woods Park, 1380 Stratton Drive.
