Rockville Police Get Report of Naked Man Running Around Park

Rockville city police say a woman saw a man strip off his clothes and run around Maryvale Park naked, according to a recent crime summary.

The incident occurred about 4 p.m. Aug. 9.

Two associates of the man were able to get him to leave the area, the summary said. The man was described as in his 20’s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, thin build and bald.

Arrests

On Aug. 9 between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., a 46-year-old woman was arrested for violating a protection order, after a complaint in the 400 block of Nature Lane.

On Aug. 10, a 19-year-old man was arrested for fourth-degree burglary, after an incident that occurred in the 100 block of Jersey Lane. During the course of the investigation, the man was also charged with armed robbery, after an earlier incident that occurred on Aug. 6 in the 700 block of Fallsgrove Drive.

On Aug. 12, an 18-year-old man was arrested for fourth-degree burglary after an earlier incident that occurred on July 20 in the 5700 block of Crawford Drive.

On Aug. 13 between 1:45 a.m. and 2 a.m., a 57-year-old woman was arrested for trespassing after an incident that occurred in the 100 block of Gibbs Street.

On Aug. 13 between 11:05 p.m. and 11:15 p.m., a 33-year-old man was arrested for trespassing after an incident that occurred in the 1600 block of Rockville Pike.

On July 31, a 24-year-old man was arrested for second-degree assault, after an earlier incident that occurred on July 28 at 4:22 p.m., in the 1300 block of First Street.

On Aug. 1 between 4 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., a 41-year-old man was arrested for possession of CDS-cocaine and possession of CDS-paraphernalia, after an incident that occurred in the 200 block of North Washington Street.

On Aug. 2 between 1:15 a.m. and 1:40 a.m., a 57-year-old woman was arrested for trespassing, after an incident that occurred in the 100 block of Gibbs Street.

On Aug. 2 between 6:14 a.m. and 6:22 a.m., a 21-year-old man was arrested for possession of CDS-amphetamines, after an incident that occurred in the unit block of Maryland Avenue.

On Aug. 2 at 8:37 p.m., a 22-year-old man was arrested for possession with intent to distribute CDS-marijuana and possession of CDS-marijuana, after an incident that occurred in the 200 block of Meadow Hall Drive.

On Aug. 4 between 8:46 p.m. and 9:40 p.m., a 45-year-old woman was arrested for trespassing, after an incident that occurred in the 1800 block of Chapman Avenue.

On Aug. 5, a male, age 28, was arrested for intoxicated endangerment, disorderly conduct, and two counts of second-degree assault on a police officer, after an earlier incident that occurred on Aug. 3 between 10:10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Gibbs Street.

Incidents

500 block Gaither Road, the complainant reported that someone removed a man lift machine from a parking garage between 12 p.m. Aug. 3 and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 11.

300 block of North Horners Lane, someone gained entry by breaking a rear basement window between 9 a.m. Aug. 4 and 11 a.m. Aug. 11. Once inside, the suspect forced open an interior door. Nothing was taken from the home.

2000 block of Rockland Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed cash and a pair of shoes from an unsecured vehicle between 8 p.m. Aug. 5 and 12 p.m. Aug. 6.

1600 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that two men entered the business on Aug. 7 between 10:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. The men removed a pair of shoes, then left the store without paying for the item. One man was described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, thin build, brown eyes, black hair, mustache and beard, light brown skin tone, and last seen wearing dark blue jeans, black/red/gray FILA hooded sweatshirt and a red baseball cap. The other man was described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, thin build, brown eyes, black dreadlocks/twists, mustache and beard, medium brown skin tone.

1500 block of Blue Meadow Road, the complainant reported that someone removed cash from an unlocked vehicle between 6 p.m. Aug. 7 and 6:15 p.m. Aug. 8.

400 block of Gruenther Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed a GPS, a pair of sunglasses and a pair of reading glasses from an unlocked vehicle between 9 p.m. Aug. 8 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 9.

500 block of College Parkway, the complainant reported that someone removed an unattended bag containing video games from a front porch on Aug. 9 between 6:30 p.m. and 7:38 p.m.

1600 block of East Jefferson Street, the complainant reported that someone removed a vehicle from a parking garage between 10 p.m. Aug. 9 and 7:15 a.m. Aug. 10.

800 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that she discovered her purse containing credit cards, cash and miscellaneous papers, missing on Aug. 10 sometime after 12 p.m. Later that afternoon, a man was seen through video surveillance, using the complainant’s credit card at a business in the 1800 block of Rockville. The suspect is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 190 pounds, medium build, short black hair, light skin tone, last seen wearing white sneakers, black sunglasses, black shirt with USA Flag on the front and blue jeans.

14900 block of Southlawn Lane, the complainant reported that three men entered the business at 2:46 p.m. Aug. 10. The men walked around the business and spoke to employees about tools. When the employees became busy with other customers, the three men removed three chainsaws, a leaf blower, and a cell phone, then left the business. The men were last seen driving away in a white four-door sedan. One men was described as 20 or 21 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, medium build, short hair, and last seen wearing a red/blue shirt and blue jeans. Another man was described as in his 20s, 6 feet 1 inch tall, thin build, long dreadlocks/twists, and last seen wearing white shirt and blue jeans. No description on the third man.

1800 block of East Jefferson Street, the complainant reported that someone removed an unattended bag containing a passport, driver’s license and miscellaneous documents on July 24 between 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Please note that this incident was not reported to the police until Aug. 1.

100 block of Fallsgrove Boulevard, someone gained entry into a maintenance facility through an unlocked window between 3:45 p.m. July 31 and 8 a.m. Aug. 1. Once inside the person removed a sport utility vehicle and HVAC cables.

1200 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that a man entered the business on July 31 between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. The man was seen removing two laptops from a box. When the complainant attempted to stop the man, he was able to flee the store with the merchandise. The man is described as about 30 years old last seen wearing white T-shirt, black and white shorts, black and white shoes and a blue hat.

100 block of Elmcroft Court, the complainant reported that someone removed two jackets, a pair of designer sunglasses, two gift cards, two water bottles and a wood frame corner sample from an unlocked vehicle between 6:50 p.m. Aug. 1 and 8:25 a.m. Aug. 2.

1000 block of Brice Road, the complainant reported that someone removed a toolbox from an unlocked vehicle between 9 p.m. Aug. 1 and 1 p.m. Aug. 2.

400 block of Gruenther Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed an entertainment center from a vehicle dashboard between 2 p.m. Aug. 3 and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 5.

5700 block of Crawford Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed a flashlight and a pair of earbuds from an unlocked vehicle between 10 p.m. Aug. 5 and 1 p.m. Aug. 6.

700 block of Fallsgrove Drive, the complainant reported that he was walking on a trail between 4:15 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. Aug. 6 when he saw two men. As the complainant approached them, one man displayed a gun and told the complainant to empty his pockets. After he obtained the complainant’s wallet, the men fled. Both men were in their 20s. One was 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, medium build, short black hair and last seen wearing blue pants and a light-colored shirt. The other man was 5 feet 8 inches tall, medium build, black hair and last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt.
