Rockville Police Crime Summary for Week Ending May 21
Arrests
On May 14 at 12:13 a.m., a 23-year-old man was arrested for possession of CDS-amphetamines, after an incident that occurred in the unit block of Maryland Avenue.
On May 21 at 10:54 p.m., a 56-year-old woman was arrested for first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary and second-degree assault after an incident that occurred in the 1200 block of Autre Court.
Incidents
700 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that someone removed cash from a safe between 9 a.m. May 1 and 9 a.m. May 4. Please note that this incident was not reported to police until May 18.
1600 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that someone entered the business and removed two pairs of sunglasses on May 3 at 3:36 p.m. On May 17 at 3:56 p.m., the same person entered the business and tried to steal two pairs of sunglasses, but was stopped by the complainant. The suspect is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 170 pounds, thin build, brown eyes, short black hair, facial stubble, medium brown skin tone, last seen wearing white shoes, red pants, gray T-shirt and a gray hat.
1000 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that during a move from one apartment complex to another, someone removed clothing, shoes and kitchenware between 10:30 p.m. May 4 and 1 a.m. May 5. Please note that this incident was not reported to police until May 21.
1500 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that two people entered the business on May 18 between 3:06 p.m. and 3:54 p.m. While a woman distracted the complainant, a man headed off in a different direction and then left the store. The complainant went to her office and discovered her wallet — with credit cards, a checkbook, driver’s license and cash — was missing. The woman then left shortly afterwards.
100 block of Gibbs Street, the complainant reported that someone removed a purse from a locked vehicle on May 15 between 9:45 a.m. and 9:48 p.m. The purse was recovered nearby, however, cash and credit cards had been removed.
1200 block of Allison Drive, someone gained entry through an open window at a home between 4 a.m. May 16 and 11:25 a.m. May 17. Once inside, the person removed a television, cash and candy.
100 block of East Jefferson Street, the complainant reported that someone removed an unattended cell phone on May 16 between 2:30 p.m. and 4:58 p.m.
300 block of Casey Lane, the complainant reported that someone removed a wallet containing credit cards, a driver’s license and cash from an unlocked vehicle, between 7:30 p.m. May 16 and 7 a.m. May 17.
400 block of Nature Lane, the complainant reported that someone removed a backpack containing clothing, a vehicle key, cash and three laptops from an unlocked vehicle between 7:30 p.m. May 16 and 7 a.m. May 17.
200 block of Dawson Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed credit cards and cash from an unlocked vehicle between 10:40 p.m. May 16 and 2:50 a.m. May 17.
700 block of King Farm Boulevard, the complainant reported that someone removed a laser line generator from a storage room on May 17 between 6:03 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
The man has short hair, last seen wearing blue jeans, white T-shirt, red backpack. The woman has dark brown skin tone, last seen wearing black/white dress, tan Coach flat shoes, black backpack.
1800 block of Chapman Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed four tires and rims from a vehicle between 5 p.m. May 19 and 9 p.m. May 20.
700 block of Hungerford Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed a cell phone and cash from a purse on May 20 between 7:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.
1400 block of Research Boulevard, the complainant reported that someone entered an unlocked vehicle, on May 21 between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. The suspect, using a spare key found inside, removed the vehicle from the parking lot.
