Rockville Police Crime Summary

Arrests

On Feb. 13 at 12:20 a.m., a 39-year-old man was arrested for making a false fire alarm, malicious destruction of property, second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest after an incident in the16000 block of Shady Grove Road.

On Feb. 13 at 2:30 p.m., a 42-year-old man was arrested for robbery, two counts of second-degree assault, malicious destruction of property, and unauthorized removal of property after an incident in the 800 block of Hungerford Drive.

On Feb. 17, a request was submitted to the Montgomery County Police Department’s Special Investigations Division for a 15-year-old boy to be charged with third-degree burglary, two counts of fourth-degree burglary, and theft after an incident in the 1000 block of Baltimore Road.

Incidents

400 block of Dover Road, the complainant reported that someone removed a boat and boat trailer between 8 a.m. Dec. 1 and 8 a.m. 8 a.m. Feb. 7. Please note that this incident was not reported to the police until Feb. 15.

13000 block of Atlantic Avenue, someone gained entry into a recreation facility by forcing open a security gate and forcing open a window between 3:09 p.m. Jan. 15 and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 13. At the time of this report it was unknown if anything had been taken.

200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed an unattended cell phone on Feb. 5 at 10:30 a.m. Please note that this incident was not reported to the police until Feb. 12.

1000 block of Neal Drive, someone tried to gain entry into a home by trying to force a rear basement window between 8 a.m. Feb. 11 and 11:30 a.m. Feb. 14. No entry was made into the home.

1900 Gainsboro Road, the complainant reported that someone removed a delivery package Jan. 18 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Please note that this incident was not reported to the police until Feb. 12.

200 block of Poplar Spring Road, the complainant reported that someone removed a vehicle between 3:30 p.m. Feb. 11 and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12. A spare key had been left inside the vehicle.

Unit block of Mannakee Street, the complainant reported that someone removed an unattended coat containing a wallet and vehicle keys, from the rear of a classroom on Feb. 12 between 12:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

200 block of Meadow Hall Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed an unattended briefcase containing a laptop from a counter on Feb. 8 between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

1900 block of Veirs Mill Road, the complainant reported that a man approached the business on Feb. 13 between 9:26 p.m. and 9:29 p.m. The person tried to enter, but found it was locked. The man then approached the cashier’s window and displayed a handgun. While the complainant was contacting the police, the man fled. He is described as 6 feet, 200 pounds, medium build, brown eyes, and last seen wearing black coat, black gloves, black stocking mask with very small eye slits.

13000 block of Atlantic Avenue, someone gained entry into a recreational building through an unlocked rear basement door Feb. 16. Nothing was taken from the building.

14900 block of Shady Grove Road, the complainant reported that three men entered the business at 12:53 p.m. Feb. 16. Once inside they removed three cell phones from a display and then fled. The men are described as: about 25 years old, last seen wearing blue jeans, black jacket, black baseball hat; about 20 years old, last seen wearing black jacket with “California” rainbow colored bear; and about 20 years old, last seen wearing: black jacket, blue baseball hat.

1400 block of West Montgomery Avenue, the complainant reported that someone cut the lock to a compartment on a food truck and removed a generator between 3p.m. Feb. 16 and 12:45 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. Feb. 18.

Unit block of Maryland Avenue, the complainant reported that he was assaulted between 8:40 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Feb. 16. During the altercation, the victim’s unattended laptop was stolen.

600 block of Burgundy Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed a delivery package on Feb. 17.
