Rockville Police Arrest 3 Men for Burglary, Theft

At 8:39 p.m. Feb. 7, three men, 22 and 26, were arrested for second- and fourth-degree burglary and theft, after incidents that occurred in the 700 block of Garden View Way, 2100 block of Piccard Drive and 1000 block of Pleasant Circle.

Other arrests

At 2:47 a.m. Feb. 6, a 43-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested for second-degree assault, after an incident that occurred in the unit block of Helen Heneghan Way.

Between 2:52 p.m. and 5:28 p.m., Feb. 9, a man, 50, was arrested for shoplifting, after an incident that occurred in the 14900 block of Shady Grove Road.

Incidents

Unit block of Mannakee Street, the complainant reported that an unknown subject wrote anti-Semitic graffiti in a women’s restroom, between 12:52 a.m. Nov. 1 and 1 a.m. Feb. 7.

200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive, an unknown person removed an unattended laptop from an office between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Feb. 6.

300 block of Martins Lane, the complainant reported that an unknown person removed a wallet containing credit cards and cash from an unlocked locker, between 1:20 p.m. and 2 p.m. Feb. 7.

400 block of Redland Boulevard, the complainant reported that he was meeting an unknown man at 3:58 p.m. Feb. 7 to sell his two cell phones. Once at an establishment, the complainant placed his two phones on a table. The unknown man walked up to the table and snatched the two phones. He then fled out the front door of the business and jumped into an awaiting vehicle being driven by an unknown woman. The man is described as 6-foot-2-inch, 220 pounds, medium build, brown eyes, black hair, black skin tone, wearing black pants, black coat, blue hat. No further description on the woman.

700 block of Rockville Pike, complainant No. 1 reported that he had picked up four people between 3:40 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. Feb. 8. The complainant stopped the vehicle and asked for one of the four to leave. The front passenger assaulted the complainant, while a rear-seat passenger held the complainant in his seat. The complainant was able to escape the vehicle. Once out, one person got out of the vehicle and assaulted the complainant again, knocking him to the ground. That person obtained a cell phone, spare change, and keys from the complainant No. 1. While the police were on the scene, complainant No. 2 reported that she too had been assaulted by an unknown female, about a half a block away.

Complainant No. 2 stated that the female suspect obtained a set of keys and a cell phone. The two are described as: a man with light brown skin tone, wearing a red sweatshirt; and a woman wearing light green clothing.

1600 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that an unknown person entered the business between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Feb. 8. The person then took clothing to the dressing room. When the person left the store, it was discovered that a pair of jeans was missing.

1300 block of Rockville Pike, two people entered a business by prying open the rear door between 3:55 a.m. and 4:05 a.m. Feb. 9. Once inside, the two tried to cut a hole in a safe, but were unsuccessful. A review of the video surveillance revealed that one person was wearing tan gloves, black ski mask, multicolored backpack, black shoes and black jeans; and the other person was wearing a white respirator mask, black gloves, black backpack and black sweatshirt.

1700 block of Sunrise Drive, an unknown person entered a home by prying open a rear kitchen door between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Feb. 8. Once inside, the unknown person removed four gold coins, cash and four passports.

1600 block of Rockville Pike, a complainant reported that three unknown people entered the business at 6:49 p.m. Feb. 9. The first person went up to the jewelry counter and removed two pairs of diamond earrings from a display, and placed them into his coat pocket. All three then left the business. The suspects were seen getting into a vehicle, which left the area in an unknown direction. The suspects are described as: a 5-foot-8-inch man, 200 pounds, medium build, light brown skin tone, wearing dark gray/black jacket, black baseball cap with a white “Nike” logo on it, black sneakers, and black jeans; a 5-foot-9-inch man, 210 pounds, medium build, medium brown skin tone, wearing a black jacket, black pants, black shirt and black knit winter hat; a 5-foot-5-inch woman, 150 pounds, thin build, light skin tone, wearing a black jacket and a black baseball cap.

1100 block of Crawford Drive, the complainant reported that he had picked up three people in Wheaton at 3:10 a.m. Feb. 10. Between 3:20 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. they arrived at their destination, when the suspect sitting behind the complainant, held him in place. The other two people placed knives to the complainant’s neck and stomach and demanded his property. Once the thieves obtained the complainant’s jewelry, cell phone, credit card and cash, they fled the scene. The three are described as:  6-foot man with black hair and beard wearing chrome/stainless steel earrings, white sneakers, blue jeans w/rips, black skull cap, black jacket; 5-foot-6-inch man wearing: blue jeans and blue hoodie; and a man wearing black pants, black skull cap and black hoodie.

2500 block of Research Boulevard, the complainant reported that an unknown person removed a briefcase containing work IDs, a checkbook, and cash, from a vehicle at 6:10 p.m. Feb. 10.

Unit block of Upper Rock Circle, the complainant and two men had returned from an evening out to one of the other’s home between 4 a.m. and 4:48 a.m. Feb. 11. After arriving at the home, the complainant said one of the men sexually assaulted her. The two are described as a 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old man.
