Rockville ‘Movies in the Parks’ Offer Family-Friendly Films (VIDEO)

Get outside this summer and get into Rockville’s free outdoor “Movies in the Parks” on the big screen, each Wednesday from now until August 26. Bring chairs, blankets, food and beverages and enjoy family-friendly movies at different neighborhood parks throughout the city. Rockville 11’s Alex Cruz reports.

Movies begin at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.). All movies are free.

  • Wednesday, Aug. 12: “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” (PG), at Calvin Park, 1248 Gladstone Drive.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 19: “Big Hero 6” (PG), at Maryvale Park, 812 First St.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 26: “Mr. Peabody and Sherman” (PG), at Woodley Gardens Park, 900 Nelson St.
