Rockville Mayor & Council Inauguration Nov. 17

Rockville will inaugurate recently elected Mayor and Council Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville’s Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Dr. The public is invited to the ceremony and following reception.

Rockville’s next Mayor, Bridget Donnell Newton, will be joined by Councilmembers-elect Beryl L. Feinberg, Tom Moore, Virginia D. Onley and Julie Palakovich Carr at the ceremony. Newton is finishing her second term as a councilmember; Moore will begin his second term as a councilmember at the inauguration.

The ceremony begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville’s Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Dr.; a reception will follow. Rockville 11 will televise the ceremony live on channel 11 and stream it live on the City’s website. It will be available on the City’s YouTube channel the following day and will later re-air on channel 11.

The first meeting of the new Mayor and Council is at 7 p.m. on Nov. 18 in the Mayor and Council Chambers at City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave.
