Rockville Man Killed in Fatal Crash

mc police car for slider 450x280A Rockville man was killed in a car crash on Sunday in Rockville.

According to Montgomery County police, the single vehicle collision happened shortly before 2 p.m. in the area of Gruenther Avenue and McAuliffe Drive.

Police said the preliminary investigation indicates that a black Toyota Avalon left the roadway, struck a fence, and then struck a tree. The driver of the Avalon was transported to Suburban Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said the initial investigation indicates that the driver may have suffered a medical event prior to the collision. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) has ruled the manner of death to be accidental from multiple injuries suffered in the crash.

Police have identified the driver of the vehicle as 67-year-old Arthur Levine.
