The City of Rockville has been named one of the Washington Business Journal’s Top 50 Healthiest Employers for the second year in a row. The City was honored for its workplace wellness program, LiveWell.

The ranking of each company within the top 50 list will be revealed Thursday, Sept. 20, and all 50 companies will be profiled in a special supplement of the Washington Business Journal.

“We are honored to have received this prestigious award. The City is serious about improving the health of its employees. When employees are happy and healthy, they are better able to serve our citizens.” Hillary Hurlbutt, employee health and wellness manager

The newspaper annually selects the top 50 healthiest employers in the Greater Washington area to receive the award, which recognizes companies for their workplace wellness programs and wellness strategies.

LiveWell has helped City employees maintain or improve their health through health promotion programs, health education, screenings and other services since 1988.
