Rockville Fire Displaces Family Overnight
A fire overnight in Rockville caused an estimated $75,000 in damages to a residence in the Wheaton Woods community, according to a Montgomery County fire official.
Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Pete Piringer said the fire began in a shed around 1 a.m. and extended to the adjacent house in the 4600 block of Tallahassee Avenue. Piringer said the cause of the fire was electrical in nature.
According to Piringer, an adult, a child and a guinea pig were displaced by the blaze.
