Arrests
On Dec. 21 at 12:50 a.m., a 19-year-old man was arrested for resisting arrest and obstructing and hindering a police investigation after an incident that occurred near College Parkway and Princeton Place.
On Dec. 23 at 10:35 a.m., a 27-year-old man was arrested for trespassing after an incident that occurred in the 700 block of Rockville Pike.
On Dec. 24 at 2:59 a.m., a 25-year-old man was arrested for theft after an incident that occurred in the 100 block of Gibbs Street.
On Dec. 27 at 4:42 a.m., a 30-year-old man was arrested for second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property, and conspiracy to commit malicious destruction of property after an incident that occurred in the 5700 block of Fishers Lane.
On Dec. 29 at 9:45 p.m., a 29-year-old man was arrested for trespassing and failure to identify himself to a police officer after an incident that occurred in the 2200 block of Veirs Mill Road.
Incidents
300 block of Oak Knoll Terrace, someone gained entry into a home through an unsecured front door on Dec. 20 between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Once inside the person removed cash and a watch.
14900 block of Shady Grove Road, the complainant reported that a man entered the business on Dec. 21 between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The man removed several seafood items and exited the store without paying for them. Police say the man is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 145 pounds, thin build, brown eyes, very short black hair, dark brown skin tone, and last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.
2000 block of Veirs Mill Road, someone gained entry into a business by breaking the front glass window between 6 p.m. Dec. 21 and 7:40 a.m. Dec. 22. Once inside, the person removed cash, a cash register, and hair clippers.
5900 block of Halpine Road, someone gained entry into a home by breaking a kitchen window on Dec. 22 between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Nothing was taken.
13200 block of Okinawa Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed a wallet from a vehicle between 5:30 p.m. Dec. 22 and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 23.
5800 block of Ridgway Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed a drill and a leaf blower from an unlocked vehicle between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 22 and 2:05 p.m. Dec. 23.
100 block of East Montgomery Avenue, the complainant reported that he had been taking money out of his wallet when a man approached on Dec. 23 at 7:15 p.m. The man grabbed the victim’s wallet. A struggle ensued between the victim and the person, when the man forced the victim to the ground. After obtaining the wallet, the person then fled on foot. Police described the man as 6 feet, 2 or 3 inches tall, 230 pounds, with a beard and last seen wearing a knit hat and black jacket with a white horizontal stripe across the back and on the sleeves.
14900 block of Shady Grove Road, the complainant reported that a man entered the business on Dec. 25 at 3:35 p.m. The man walked over to a display, and using a pair of plyers, removed two cell phones. The man then left the business. Police described the man as approximately 22 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, thin build, medium brown skin tone, and last seen wearing a black knit hat, black windbreaker jacket and blue jeans.
1000 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that a man entered the business on Dec. 26 between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The suspect walked over to a display and removed two pairs of designer eye glass frames. The man then left the business. No description given.
500 block of Hungerford Drive, the complainants reported that someone entered several vehicles and removed charging cords, headphones, spare change, and a mini tool set between 6 p.m. Dec. 26 and 6 a.m. Dec. 27.
300 block of Hungerford Drive, the complainants reported that someone entered several vehicles and removed a charging cord and an iPod between 5:50 p.m. Dec. 27 and 2:20 a.m. Dec. 28.
1000 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that a man entered the business on Dec. 28 between 10:30 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. The man walked over to a display and removed two pairs of designer eye glass frames. The suspect then exited the business fleeing on a skateboard. Police said the man wore a pink bedazzled hat.
300 block of Dean Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed several power tools from an unlocked vehicle between 4 p.m. Dec. 28 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 31.
