Rockville Relays to Cope with Loss (Video)

Relay for Life of Rockville celebrates 18 years of helping people get over grief by walking it out.

About 200 family and friends attended this year’s event at Tilden Middle School, located at 11211 Old Georgetown Rd., to raise money to find a cure for cancer. This event is one of many hosted by The American Cancer Society to raise money for a cure.

Relay for Life of Rockville has raised about$60,000 towards their goal of $85,000 this year.

Everyone is affected by cancer in one way or another, so the Relay For Life of Rockville event is very personal to those who attend. Some families have recently lost the person that they are relaying for.
