Rockville City Police Crime Summary for the Week Ending May 7
Arrests
On May 2, between 12:16 a.m. and 12:25 a.m., a 26-year-old man was arrested for trespassing, after an incident that occurred in the 1000 block of Rockville Pike.
On May 2, at 1:42 a.m., an 18-year-old woman was arrested for violating an ex-parte/protection order, after an incident that occurred in the unit block of Denfield Court.
On May 2, between 8:14 a.m. and 9 a.m., a 39-year-old woman was arrested for second-degree assault, after an incident that occurred in the unit block of Upper Rock Circle.
On May 3, between 11:35 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., a 28-year-old man was arrested for hindering free passage of another, disturbing the peace, failing to identify oneself to a police officer and aggressive panhandling after an incident that occurred in the unit block of Maryland Avenue.
On May 4, between 5:33 p.m. and 5:50 p.m., two men, both 27, were arrested for trespassing after an incident that occurred in the 100 block of Gibbs Street. In addition, one of the men was also charged with failing to identify oneself to a police officer.
On May 5, between 4:40 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., a 33-year-old man was arrested for theft and making false statements to a police officer, after an incident that occurred in the 600 block of Hungerford Drive.
On May 6, between 2:11 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., a 35-year-old man was arrested for trespassing and failing to obey a lawful order, after an incident that occurred in the unit block of Courthouse Square.
Incidents
200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed a cell phone from an unattended backpack on May 2 between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
5700 block of Bou Avenue, the complainant reported that while out shopping, someone removed a purse on May 2 between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. The purse was later recovered, but a handicap placard and cash had been stolen.
1700 block of Crawford Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed a vehicle between 10:40 p.m. May 3 and 6:30 p.m. May 4.
Unit block of Maryland Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed a cell phone from a charging station on May 4 at 12:35 p.m. The person is described as young, skinny build, medium skin tone and last seen wearing tan cargo shorts, black T-shirt, black/white sneakers and a black backpack.
