Ripley Street Portion of MBT Opens
A portion of the Metropolitan Branch Trail (MBT) at the Silver Spring Metro Station has been opened around the Transit Center. The trail now extends from Ripley Street to the south end of the MARC train platform. Opening this portion of the trail reestablishes pedestrian connections from the northbound MARC platform to the transit plaza in front of the Metro Station. Weather permitting; the trail will be extended to Ripley Street in the near future.
