Riderwood Promotes Dr. Andrew Kundrat to Medical Director
Riderwood retirement community announced the promotion of Andrew Kundrat, M.D. to Medical Director.
Dr. Kundrat joins the executive leadership team with over thirty-three years of internal medicine and geriatric experience. He has served with the Erickson Health Medical Group as a Staff Physician at Riderwood since 2008, and previously, he was the Vice President of Medical Affairs/Medical Director at Charles E. Smith Life Communities (formerly the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington) in Rockville.
As the Medical Director of Riderwood, Dr. Kundrat will oversee a staff of full-time board-certified physicians, nurses, specialists and other medical professionals who serve the 2,500 residents of Riderwood in independent living and extended care settings. Benefitting from a personalized approach to health and wellness, residents enjoy access to an on-site medical center with same-day appointments and electronic medical records.
Dr. Kundrat earned a B.S. in Chemistry from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and his M.D. degree from the Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his internship at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and his residency in internal medicine at the Eastern Virginia School of Medicine in Norfolk.
A resident of Laurel, Maryland, Dr. Kundrat is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Directors Association.
