Residents Still Skeptical About Johnson Property Annexation Plan (VIDEOS)
Dozens of Montgomery County residents attended a workshop at Quince Orchard High School held by the Johnson Family about the annexation plan for the 14 acre parcel known as the Johnson Property.
Residents were divided into small groups to discuss three key topics with a team of consultants including proposed development, traffic and pedestrian safety, and school capacity.
MyMCMedia was not allowed to record the workshop on camera and caught up with property owner Russell Johnson and residents after the event.
Gaithersburg resident Carol Scott is not convinced that the workshop will result in any changes to the proposed plan.

This was a second, thus redundant meeting and a waste of time. Almost 200 people showed up and we were fed the exact same story as before. The property’s owner is pushing changing the zoning from 30 homes to 180 high density various units. Get the word out to people in Darnestown who can’t get through this area already.
