Residents Speak Out at PSC Hearing (Video)

Dozens of Montgomery County residents packed the Montgomery County Council chambers to testify at the Public Service Commission’s Aug. 7 public hearing.

The hearing was scheduled to get residents’ feedback following the June 29 derecho and power outages.

In addition to sharing stories about how the power outages impacted their lives and how much it cost them personally, residents also offered advice and tips for future improvement. As expected, there was great criticism of Pepco’s response and the PSC’s supervisory role.

The public hearing stretched over the four-hour mark ending shortly after 11 p.m. MyMCMedia’s Sonya Burke reports.
