Registration for Rockville’s Summer Playgrounds Opens
Registration for Rockville’s Summer Playgrounds program is now open. The program includes six weeks of drop-in activities at various playground sites in parks and schools throughout Rockville for children ages 6 to 12. The cost is $115 for Rockville residents and $195 for non-residents. Staff led sports and games, crafts, nature exploration and more from June 23 – July 31.
Ten playground sites in parks and schools throughout Rockville neighborhoods will be open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The program is offered through the City’s Recreation and Parks Department.
Trips and activities are optional add-ons (for a nominal fee) and are available to Summer Playgrounds registrants. They include bowling, swimming, tennis and a visit to Adventure Park USA in New Market. New this year, morning and afternoon extended hours will be offered from 8-9:30 a.m. and 3:30-6 p.m. at Elwood Smith Community Center and Park.
