Recognizing Black History Month (Photo)

blackhistorymonthBlack History Month’s 2014 theme of “Civil Rights in America” was celebrated on Feb. 4 by the Montgomery County Council and members of the County’s Black History Month Committee.

This year’s theme chronicles the important milestones achieved by African-Americans and others in the battle for civil rights, as well as marks the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
