Recent Sherwood High Graduate Receives Journalism Award

Jacob Bogage, a 2012 graduate of Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring, was honored by the Montgomery County Council on July 17 for winning the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association annual Michael S. Powell High School Journalist of the Year Award. Jacob, who is headed to the University of Missouri, served as a writer and editor for Sherwood’s Warrior newspaper, created a web site for the newspaper and contributed to The Washington Post’s All-Met section. Council-member Craig Rice presented a proclamation to Jacob on behalf of the Council.
