Raskin To Kick Off Annual Polar Bear Plunge
Climate activists will gather to take a plunge in the Potomac River on Saturday.
Congressman Jamie Raskin (MD-08), an advocate for environmental protection, will kick off the 15th annual Polar Bear Plunge at 10 am. It is organized by the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) every January. The organization works to bring awareness and combat global warming in the DMV area. Activists participate in the Polar Bear Plunge to raise money for CCAN and supporters take the pledge to #TakeThePlunge to support the mission.
