Randolph Road to Close For A Week Beginning on July 18th

road construction 450 x 280  for sliderBeginning on July 18th, Randolph Road – between Nebel Street and Parklawn Drive in Wheaton – will close for about a week.

CSX, a transportation maintenance company, is scheduled to work on track maintenance. This road should reopen on Friday, July 24, weather permitting.

According to a news release, drivers are advised to look for signs directing them to route detours.

These detours will direct westbound travelers on Randolph Road to turn left onto Parklawn Drive, continue on Nicholson Lane and then turn right onto Rockville Pike to return to Randolph Road.

Eastbound travelers on Montrose Parkway will be directed to turn right onto East Jefferson Street, right onto Old Georgetown Road, left onto Nicholson Lane, which turns into Parklawn Drive to return to Randolph Road, according to the statement.
