Racial Stereotypes at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Focus of Powerful Video
A powerful video, “I, Too, Am B-CC [High School],” explores racial stereotypes at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in Montgomery County as students share their personal experiences and opine on their future.
Inspired by the social campaign, “I too, am Harvard,” the video is produced by Makdes Hailu and directed and edited by Orlando Pinder. It was posted on Pinder’s YouTube page last month, and it has received over 8,200 views since it went online.
According to the video’s YouTube description: “The purpose of this campaign is to expose the harm of racial stereotypes in high school as well as bring awareness to the achievement gap.”
