Quick Justice: Rockville Police Arrest Three for Robbery Within One Minute of Report

It took Rockville City Police just one minute to arrest three people in connection with an alleged assault and robbery at a Red Roof Inn on Shady Grove Road Friday.

According to Rockville City Police, officers got report at approximately 1:20 a.m. of a robbery and assault at the Red Roof Inn, at 16001 Shady Grove Road. The victim’s car was also taken during the incident, police said. A city police K-9 officer found the suspect vehicle about one minute after the description was broadcast. Several responding RCPD units stopped the vehicle.

Police said the alleged victim identified each of the three suspects in the vehicle. They are Kiyewon E. Barnes, 20, of the 20 block of N. Summit Avenue in Gaithersburg; Emmanuel R. Coleman, 22, of the 2000 block of Baltimore Road in Rockville; and Myaa M. King, 18, of the 2900 block of Marlow Farm Terrace in Silver Spring. All three were arrested and charged with robbery, second-degree assault and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. All three were transported to the Montgomery County Detention Center.
