Public Hearing for Grosvenor-Strathmore Master Plan on Oct. 24

Residents are invited to attend a public hearing to discuss the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Area Minor Master Plan.

The Montgomery County Council will host the hearing which will take place in the Third Floor Council Conference Room, 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville on Oct. 24 and begins at 7:30 p.m, according to a news release.

According to the Montgomery County Planning Board’s 2017 draft plan, the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Area Minor Master Plan is an amendment to the 1992 North Bethesda/Garrett Park Master Plan which builds upon the former recommendations while advancing the county’s goal of transit-oriented development at Metro stations to keep with the county’s housing plans in a sustainable manner.

Stretched on roughly 177 acres of land, the plan  includes the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station, Strathmore Hall, and the surrounding residential communities.

The Council’s Planning, Housing, and Economic Development Committee will review the plan in November.
