Proposed Hotel Tax Distribution Change (Video)

County Council-member Nancy Floreen has proposed raising share of hotel tax designated for the Montgomery County Conference and Visitors Bureau from 3.5% to 7%. This proposal does not include raising new taxes, just increasing the share that goes to the Montgomery County Conference and Visitors Bureau. In this short video Council-member Floreen explains why she believes this is important to increasing tourism in Montgomery County.
