Project SEARCH Interns Honored (Photos & Video)

Since September of 2012, young people with significant disabilities have had opportunity to learn transferable and marketable job skills by their participation in Montgomery County’s Project SEARCH program. On June 18, the County Council helped celebrate the completion of the internships of the inaugural class of 12 interns. Councilmember Phil Andrews presented a proclamation on behalf of the Council. The class of interns included Sabrini Babu, Brian Blumenreich, Sasha Butler, Andy Eisenhaurer, Michael Hamm, Kristen Higgens, Caroline Lubas, Amy Lydanne, Jimmy Phamm, Javier Reuejo, James Travers and Milena Vanous. Job coaches Nancy Eaby and Jacques Gbaba and educational instructor Aaron Kaufman also were at the ceremonies in Rockville.
