Original post: Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is worth $750 million.
The jackpot is listed as the total paid out as an annuity. Winners can opt for a cash option, which comes to about 60 percent — $465.5 million.
The Powerball will be drawn at 11 p.m. Wednesday. Sales are cut off about an hour or two before the drawings. If no one wins, the Powerball’s jackpot will increase for Saturday’s drawing.
Each ticket costs $2 per game. Forty-four states, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico each play the Powerball.
The largest Powerball jackpot was $1.6 billion in January 2016.
