Poolesville Unveils New Website

The Town of Poolesville is touting its new, redesigned website, with added features, mobile-friendly navigation and a new web address: www.poolesvillemd.gov.

“Our new website is all about making sure that the Town of Poolesville can better serve our residents, our businesses, and our community, as a whole,” said Poolesville Commission Vice President Charles Stump, who led the Town’s effort to overhaul the website. “Our hope is that we will provide more opportunities for increased engagement among residents and our municipal government. We look forward to getting feedback on the new website so that we can continually improve the way we communicate with each other.”

In launching the new site, Poolesville partnered with CivicPlus, a company that specializes in local government website development and design.

With the launch of the new website, Poolesville is also showcasing its new town slogan, “Small Town Character, Down Home Charm,” which was developed based on a survey of town residents who voted on a variety of suggested phrases.

Poolesville’s website is designed to assist residents, business leaders, municipal employees and visitors by allowing them to engage with Town officials in an efficient, user-friendly way. The new website also allows for user personalization. Users now can create an account and gather information that is most useful to them.

Key features of the new website include:

· Online bill pay for water and sewer bills;

· Applications for venue rentals;

· Grant and permit applications;

· Agendas and minutes for Town Commission meetings, as well as meetings of other municipal government entities, such as the Planning Commission and the Community and Economic Development Committee;

· An area business directory.
