Police Seek Help in Identifying Gas Station Robber (VIDEO)

Montgomery County police are asking the public to help identify an armed man who robbed a Silver Spring Exxon station.

The robbery took place about 12:30 a.m. Jan. 25 at 8384 Colesville Road, police said.

Police said an unknown man entered the gas station, brandished a knife and approached the employee working behind the counter. He took about approximately eighty boxes of cigarettes by placing them in a bag he brought with him, police said.

The man then fled and was last seen on foot toward East West Highway, police said.

Police ask that anyone with information to call 240.773.5070.

Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous can call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1.866.411.TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
