Police Seek Help in Bethesda Stabbing Investigation
Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s help in its investigation of a Sunday stabbing that took place in Bethesda.
About 1 a.m. the victim was walking westbound on Wilson Lane between Old Georgetown Road and Bradley Boulevard when two men, possibly in their 20s, stopped their small, silver-colored SUV and offered the victim a ride, police said.
The victim accepted, and the two suspects drove him to a home in the 8300 block of Thoreau Drive, police said. The victim left the SUV. He told police that while he was walking toward the house, the two men punched, kicked and stabbed him multiple times. The two men then fled the area in the vehicle, police said.
Emergency responders took the victim to a local hospital for treatment of his nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
Police are asking anyone with home surveillance systems and who live on Thoreau Drive or surrounding streets review their video.
